Comprehensive Migration & Anti-Trafficking Services
Protecting migrants and trafficking survivors through prevention, counselling, referrals, family reunification and reintegration services that restore safety, dignity, stability and hope again.
LIWEED provides comprehensive support to migrants, returnees, displaced persons and individuals at risk of human trafficking, exploitation or unsafe migration. Its work combines prevention, protection, referral, rehabilitation, family tracing, family reunification and community reintegration.
Through public education and community sensitization, LIWEED helps people understand the dangers of trafficking, irregular migration, forced labour, exploitation and deceptive recruitment. Vulnerable individuals and survivors are connected to relevant legal, health, psychosocial, protection and livelihood services through partnerships with government institutions, security and protection agencies, civil-society organizations and international partners.
LIWEED also supports survivors and returning migrants as they rebuild their lives by helping them reconnect with their families, access counselling, develop livelihood skills and reintegrate safely into their communities. Its collaborations with organizations such as NAPTIP and the International Organization for Migration reflect its commitment to coordinated and survivor-centred migration and anti-trafficking services.
