Entrepreneurship & Micro Enterprises

Equipping vulnerable people with practical skills, business knowledge, start-up support and market opportunities to create sustainable enterprises, incomes and long-term economic independence.

LIWEED helps widows, caregivers, young people and other vulnerable individuals develop practical skills and establish sustainable sources of income. Beneficiaries are supported to identify suitable trades or business opportunities and are enrolled in vocational, entrepreneurship and financial-literacy programmes. The organization works with skilled trainers to provide practical instruction, mentoring and business guidance. Where resources are available, successful trainees receive start-up tools, equipment, materials, cash support or linkages to financial and market opportunities. LIWEED also supports household economic strengthening through savings, responsible financial management and income-generating activities. These interventions are designed to move beneficiaries from dependence and economic insecurity toward self-employment, improved household income and long-term independence. By strengthening micro-enterprises, LIWEED also contributes to job creation, local economic activity and more resilient communities.
